Dr Cameron Munro

Dr Munro is the diabetic lead for his practice at Grove Health Centre in Dundee. He also undertakes a hospital clinic for people with Diabetes and is Lead Clinician for the Diabetes MCN in Tayside. He is also a Clinical Champion with Diabetes UK and aims to improve diabetes education for clinical and non-clinical staff in his area. He works in partnership with colleagues and people living with diabetes to deliver the education in new and engaging ways. Dr Munro’s aim is to empower people living with diabetes in self-managing their condition.

Dr Munro is passionate about trying to deliver and improve patient centred care for people living with diabetes as well as moving away from traditional learning methods. He hopes to champion working in partnership with people living with diabetes to provide a more holistic experience.

Dr Munro studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh and graduated in 1992. Upon completion of his Degree, Dr Munro worked within various hospital departments across Fife, Perth and Dundee before completing his GP training at a practice within Perth. Dr Munro does regular shifts in the GP Out Of Hours service in Tayside and is a GP appraiser and appraisal tutor.
